4 / 5 - In a place you might not expect - the unique Tarpy’s Roadhouse, a castle-vibed restaurant outside of Monterey, we enjoyed an elevated deviled egg experience. A streak of mayonnaise on the plate held each of the four eggs in its place. These are your classically-filled deviled eggs. Every flavor you would expect is here — a mustard-spiced and creamy yolk mix, decoratively filled into the white of the egg. Fried capers on top as a topping added a lovely salty crunch.
